Yesterday, in honor of my husbands 35th birthday, I took the day off from work to be with him and Henry. I think we all had a good day together. After pancakes and a long nap late in the morning, we packed up and decided to head to the Denver Zoo. Despite the temperatures in the 90’s, we had lunch there and enjoyed introducting Henry to all of the animals. There was a little chipmunk at lunch that kept us company as we ate.

It was fun to watch Henry see an actual giraffe rather than a cartoon image in the many books we read to him.

(See the other one sneaking into the photo?)
Henry was also very cute to listen to as he attempted to say the names of the animals we showed him. Of of my favorites is ‘Fa-mean-go’. Henry’s Fa-mean-go’s:

Most of the time Henry walked by himself as he was too excited to sit in the stroller.

The only other times we picked him up was to get a better view of the animals. Here is DH jumping:

Henry’s ‘jump’, he actually ran it:

Henry and his Daddy:

Henry was pretty tuckered out and within blocks of leaving the Zoo, he was out! We ended the day at home with dinner and carrot cake.
I’m so thankful for my husband as he is my friend, my partner in this crazy world, and no matter where I am, I am home when I am with him.
Happy birthday Chris!
Love you!
